Helping 3G iPads Connect
Orange were a latecomer to the 3G broadband party. They’ve has a service for business customers for over a year, but they’ve been slow to launch a service for consumers. They now have a good set of price plans with great add-on data bundles, allowing you to tailor the plan to your needs. Orange’s iPad 3G price plans are the only ones to include a 7-day data bundle.
O2 were a late-comer to the world of 3G broadband. They’ve currently got the smallest 3G broadband network in the UK – a problem that’s only going to get worse now that Orange and T-Mobile have merged. However, if O2 works in your area then there’s a number of great deals to be had, including their daily plan for the iPad 3G. The biggest selling point for O2 is that you get unlimited access to WiFi hotspots in your iPad 3G data deal – even if you choose pay as you go. O2 are in partnership with BT Openzone so you’ll have access to over 5,000 hotspots in the UK.
Vodafone were the first UK operator to launch 3G broadband back in 2006. Since then, they’ve been working hard to deliver the fastest and most reliable 3G broadband network. Although the network is not a large as other operators in the UK, it is the king of speed and quality. You’ll also find some good deals with Vodafone – they won’t be the cheapest but when you factor in the quality of the service you’ll probably find they’re best value for your iPad connection.
